opening leg of the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship is
just around the corner. In just about three week times the entire Cub
Prix contingent will heads toward up north as the curtain raiser round
is set to kick off at Stadium Batu Kawan, Seberang Perai on March 31
and April 1. |

HONDA RACING SCHOOL FOR YOUNG HOPEFULS

On
March 3 and 4, 2012, 26 young hopefuls who had registered their
interest in the Honda Wave Junior Challenge (which runs concurrently
with the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship), gathered in
Universiti Utara Malaysia in Sintok, Kedah for the Honda Racing School
organized by Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd. This 26 were culled from a list
of more than a hundred registrants who had submitted their names when
the call for new riders was announced a month ago in the major
newspapers.

Mohd
Emir Fareez Hasan who finished 12th overall in the PETRONAS AAM
Malaysian Cub Prix Championship Wira category last season maybe one of
the few unlucky ones. Although he landed a back to back podium finish in
Kuala Terengganu (Round 3) and Putrajaya (Round 4) the youngster fell
out of the spotlight following a poor performance in the next six legs
resulting in him concluding the season 12th overall with only 46
points. The younger brother to Mohd Emir Firdaus Hasan gives us the
down low. |
