ROZAIMAN WANTS TO GIVE MORE
7 July 2010

Satisfied with his win from the previous leg of the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, Md Rozaiman Md Said intends to bag more results starting with the upcoming round schedule to take place in Kuala Terengganu this weekend.

Participating in the re-branded CP115 category this year, Rozaiman tasted his first win in the previous round at Sepang International Circuit last month. With the very much needed confidence boost, he is eager to continue his winning ways as with the maximum 25-point he collected, it has narrowed the gap to 14 points between new championship leader, Mohd Ramdan Mohd Rosli and Rozaiman.

14-year old Ramdan of PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha AHM Racing tops the standings with 81 points, followed by Mohd Iskandar Raduan (PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha Raceline) with 76 points while Rozaiman has accumulated 67 points.

The win has breath-in new hope for Rozaiman to refocus on his 2010 aim. He said, "To be frank, in the beginning of the season I didn't set my expectation sky high for the title chase because I am aware that there are a few tops riders from the Expert class will be racing in the CP115. Besides that, last year I took four rounds off as I needed to nurse my broken leg and only make a comeback in the last two rounds."

"Only after Round 3 at Batu Kawan when I finished the race third on the podium, I realize that I actually can compete within the top-5 consistently. Now I see that I actually stand a chance to fight for the overall title and I am looking forward for the coming round to close the gap."

The 21-year old rider who finished third in Kuala Terengganu last year went on to say, "I really want to do well in Kuala Terengganu not because I am chasing after my own glory but I want to show my gratitude for my entire team members, mechanics and team manager, YY Pang for not giving up on me during my 'non-productive' rounds. My mechanics work day and night to get the best setting for my machine and nothing is more valuable than another success for the team.
